Gnossienne No. 2 – Erik Satie | Steel String Guitar Arrangement
Erik Satie’s Gnossiennes are a collection of piano works from the late 19th century in which Satie experimented with unconventional approaches to rhythm, harmony, and musical structure.
In the original Gnossiennes, Satie famously avoided a traditional time signature, allowing the music to flow freely and expressively. He also explored distinctive and unconventional chordal structures that give the pieces their unique character.
Gnossienne No. 2 has been carefully arranged for steel string guitar by Darryn Santana, adapting Satie’s atmospheric and expressive writing to the guitar while retaining the free-flowing character of the original.
A beautiful piece for guitarists interested in exploring classical repertoire, contemporary guitar arrangements, and expressive solo playing.
