Why these two kits are bundled

The same designer uses them back to back on the same project: Scope Creep Shield while the scope is set and changes come in, then Client Update & Handoff Kit for updates, approvals and handoff. The bundle adds a guide that connects them, so an approved change ends up in the weekly update and the tracker.

- 1-START-HERE.md: setup, then 9 stages of one fictional project (Northwind Yoga Studio website redesign), each with the workflow to use and what to record.

- 2-FIELD-MAPPING.md: which change-order-log columns (CO_ID, Amount, Days_Added, Status, Approved_By…) go into which tracker tabs and columns (Settings, Milestones → Revised due / Notes / Rounds left), and when to copy them.

- 3-WHEN-TO-USE-WHICH.md: 11 situations → the right workflow, plus common mix-ups (a late client is a delay, not a scope change).

- scope-creep-shield-v1.0.zip: 6 AI workflows (scope of work, scope check, change-order reply, change order, overdue invoice reminders, discovery questions) + change-order-log.csv.

What you need

- An AI chat tool for the prompt workflows (see Tested on).

- Excel 2019/365 or Google Sheets for the tracker (MINIFS; Excel 2016 or older shows #NAME? in one Dashboard cell). No macros or add-ons.

- No extra paid tools. If you pay for an AI subscription, that cost is yours.

Tested on (as recorded in each kit)

- Client Update & Handoff Kit v1.2: ChatGPT only (Plus, GPT-6 as shown in the model picker, thinking Medium), 2026-11-02 KST, 20 test cases, all passed. Tracker formulas recalculated in LibreOffice 25.2; not opened in Excel or Google Sheets.

- Scope Creep Shield v1.0: example outputs drafted and reviewed by the creator on 2026-11-01 KST. Not run in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini before release. Output wording will vary by model.

- Bundle guides (2026-11-02 KST): both zips checked to open with the listed files; field names checked against both kits' actual columns. No new model tests were added.

Limits

English only. Not legal advice. AI output can contain mistakes, so check names, dates and amounts before sending. The change-order log is a plain CSV; it doesn't update the tracker automatically, you copy values across using the field mapping. Date math counts Mon–Fri only and doesn't skip holidays.
