To change the colors of the states and fonts. 
State color:

1. Select States.
2. Go to "UV Editing" tab > Select specific state and move the UV around in "UV Space" to the color as needed.

State Name color:

1. Select the Map.
2. Go to "Modifier".
3. Switch material in the "Name Color" box.

What you will get:
