Thread Spool Sewing Machine Pin Cushion
This pattern will show you how to make a handy pin cushion that attaches to your sewing machine so that you always have pins to hand when needed and somewhere safe to put them when removing them as you sew. You might choose to incorporate one of the two variations of spool foundation paper pieced pattern. There is a traditional one and also one that looks just like Aurifil spools! This pin cushion makes a really unique gift for friends that sew and is great for online swaps!
I’ve also included larger versions of the two FPP patterns in case you want to make yourself a matching zipped pouch. I used the Aurifil-like pattern when making one of Aneela Hoey’s Inside Outside Pouches for a friend (pictured). Pouch Pattern NOT included!
