The Raised Diamonds Clutch is one of my favorite patterns because it's the perfect size for a make-up bag but still big enough to hold your wallet and necessities and carry as a purse. And the 3-D texture created by the Raised Diamonds Stitch is beautiful. This pattern ranks as an intermediate project because you will be working in several rows at a time to create the Raised Diamond design that stands out against the background of the other stitches. It takes 9 rows to complete the construction of the diamonds, so be patient and enjoy watching your diamonds come together. It’s a fun challenge with rewarding results!

Once crocheting is complete, finishing your purses requires some sewing to add a lining and a zipper closure. You can use a machine or hand sew. If sewing isn’t in your skill set, recruit a friend or family member with seamstress skills to help. It only takes a half hour to create the lining and set the zipper. I have filmed a step-by-step instructional video to walk you through the process.
