Finnish language has only around 50 words for snow, from them “lumi” is the most common. It is also a female name.
Snow brings light to the polar night and darkness of the winter.

Snow angels are people sized imprints of angels in the snow made in the winter time by children and lucky adults.
You lay on your back on untread snow, spread your arms and legs and move them as if you were to do jumping jacks. You stop for a while and stare at the starlit sky and get lost in the vast space for a moment. You feel peaceful and happy. Soon the cold tiptoes it’s way to your body and you have to get up. You brush the snow off your body and look at your beautiful now angel.

Sample uses 54 g of Novita, Artesaani in natural white. 100 % wool

Needles
A set of 5 DPN’s or 80 cm (32 inch) long circular needle for magic loop, size 4 mm (US 6) or to obtain gauge.

Gauge
22 sts and 31 rows = 10 cm (4 inch)
Stockinette stitch worked in round, before blocking

Special Abbreviations
5 sts bobble 3 rows below = (k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) into the stitch 3 rows below then next st to make 5 stitches from 1, let the next stitch fall off the needle.
Cdd = Central double decrease; Slip 2 sts together, k1, then pass slipped stitches over
Dec 3 to 1 = Slip next 2 stitches knitwise one at a time, knit 1, then pass slipped stitches over.
Dec 5 to 1 = Slip 3 stitches together, k2tog, then pass slipped stitches over.
