Fia spends her days repairing the wiring on board her city ship, her only friend a ghostly, but friendly voice that speaks to her from the shadows. Her problem is that she is constantly harassed by one of the plumbers, and nothing she does can disuade his attention.
One day, she decides to stand up to him, and instead of making him go away, he instead reports her to her boss for insubordination. Her punishment: to spend her day repairing wires in the deep, dark bowels of the ship, where no one every goes.
