Stitches weave across the surface of these socks like ivy working its way across a garden bed. The easy-to-memorize pattern repeat creates a beautiful texture that looks great in solid and semi-solid colors.
These socks are worked from the top down with a heel flap and gusset. The leg of the pattern measures about 5” / 12.5 cm to the top of the heel. To increase the length of the leg, work additional repeats of the main pattern before beginning the heel flap.
The pattern contains a lot of cables, which makes these socks less stretchy than some others. Consider making a size larger than usual or using thicker yarn and larger needles to ensure a good fit.
