An Illustrated History of Maryport

This is the updated e-book version of my Illustrated History of Maryport, first published as a paperback in the autumn of 2003. With 250 screen 'pages' and over 300 illustrations (mostly in colour), it tells the story of this small port on the coast of Cumberland from Roman times, via the mediaeval manor of Ellenborough, the 18th century planned town, the busy port and industrial hub of the nineteenth century to the growing tourist destination of the present.
