Introduction to Mindfulness
Attention slides to "what if" and takes the shift with it. Seven decisions on bringing it back to what's in front of you — without walling everything else out.
Mindfulness on a working floor is not a cushion; it is attention control under noise. The mind runs three tasks and a worry at once, and the cost turns up as the thing you missed while you were somewhere else. This course is the practical version — no incense, just where your attention is and whether you can move it on purpose.
Seven times the week hands you a divided moment: the worry running under the job, the four things at once, the mistake you could pick apart or learn one thing from.
You will practice:
- Noticing when your attention has slid into "what if" worry, and bringing it back to what's in front of you
- Doing one thing at a time and switching your attention on purpose, instead of running several tasks at once
- Looking at a mistake without blame and taking the one lesson from it, instead of ignoring it or picking it apart
- Noticing a distraction, or a task you're avoiding, and steering your attention back without walling everything else out
