How to Use It

2. Light the Smudge: Hold your chosen stick or wood piece at a 45-degree angle over a heat-safe bowl, dish, or shell. Apply a flame until the tip catches for about 15–20 seconds.
3. Gently Extinguish: Gently blow out the flame until it smolders and releases a steady stream of sacred smoke.
4. Smudge & Cleanse: Wave the rising smoke around your body, doorways, room corners, or altar items using your hand or a smudge feather. Catch any embers with your heat-safe dish.
5. Safely Snuff: Press the burning end gently into sand, dirt, or your heat-safe vessel until completely extinguished. Store unused portions in a cool, dry place for next time.
