Confession - for piano
Benjamin Ribić (Travnik, 19 July 2000) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian violinist and composer. He is a violin student at the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo in the class of the famous Serbian violinist and pedagogue, Jovan Bogosavljević.
As a composer, in addition to his primary focus on contributing to the contemporary violin repertoire and performing techniques, he writes for various instruments and ensembles. Inspired by the pioneers of American minimalism and Arvo Pärt’s “sacral minimalism” and studying the deepest human feelings and states of mind, he builds a unique style, and critics have described his music as “purity and beauty born of simplicity” and “extremely meditative and intimate” which, as such, represents a real challenge for the performer, but also for the listener.
He lives and works in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
