πΊοΈ Curriculum Breakdown
This collection focuses deeply on mastering Coordinate Geometry and Straight Lines through a carefully curated system:
Saying where, on a plane (8 Sub-levels): Eight rungs of reading and writing pairs, in all four quadrants where M21 stayed in the first. The new difficulty is entirely the signs: (-3, 5) and (3, -5) are made of the same characters and are two corners of the paper apart, so a child who has the order right can still be standing somewhere else. The strand names the parts of the frame, drills the plotting backwards - handed the pair, say which dot it landed on, which is the one part of plotting a workbook can mark - and then takes in the two places the four quadrants do not reach: a point sitting on an axis, which is in none of them, and how far a point is from an axis, which is the OTHER coordinate and is the level's quietest wrong answer. It ends by joining four pairs into a shape with sides that can be counted.
A solution is a PAIR, and there is no end of them (6 Sub-levels): Six rungs on what a solution is, before a single one of them is drawn. What makes an equation linear in two variables, and the three ways of failing that definition. Writing it with nothing on the right, which is NCERT's general form and one move away. Testing a pair by putting it in. Finding one by choosing a value, which is the rung that explains the infinity: the choosing is free and only the second step is arithmetic. Then a table of four of them, which is what a graph gets plotted from - and last, the question run backwards, where the pair is given and part of the equation is missing, which is what makes 'lies on' mean something.
The list becomes a line (6 Sub-levels): Six rungs turning a list that never ends into one drawing. Why it is straight, and the two halves of that claim - every solution is on the line, and every point on the line is a solution. The second is the one that gets skipped and the one that makes a graph worth drawing at all. Then the two crossings every line is ruled from, where setting one letter to nought hands over the other; the equation with only one letter in it, which is a point on a number line and a whole line on a plane; the proportion that goes through the origin because nothing times anything is nothing; and reading a solution back off the drawing, both ways round.
Two lines, and what looking is worth (5 Sub-levels): Five rungs. A story with two unknown amounts in it, turned into one equation - and the letters said out loud first, because an equation with two letters and no statement of what they stand for is not an answer to anything. The same story drawn, on axes that carry both the quantity and its letter. Then two equations on one grid, each labelled with its own name, and the crossing where the two lines meet - which is the first answer in this book found by LOOKING. The last rung is there because of that one: the pair is put back into both equations, and looking was never the check.
π― Who Is This For?
Parents looking to provide structured math support at home.
Homeschoolers searching for a sequential curriculum to guarantee zero gaps in math skills.
Teachers & Tutors looking for bite-sized, scaffolded printables for classroom morning work or targeted intervention.
π How To Use This Workbook
Print the workbook, read each rung's method page, and let your child work inside the printed frame. Then check the answers your way: in the printable answer-key PDF included in this download, or online, one page at a time, with the order ID on your Payhip receipt (valid for six months). Please keep the answer key for the adult marking the work and do not share it with your child: the workbook only works if they have worked each answer out for themselves.
