We look at the Society's history, tracing its early years from its foundation in the Restoration, the remarkable and bizarre experiments it conducted, incredible discoveries and scientific advances as well as its struggles and challenges along the way, and some of the most famous names in British science (Robert Hooke, Isaac Newton, Joseph Banks and Dorothy Hodgkin, to name but a few).
