Lorelle Jumper is worked in the round and bottom up. The sleeves and the body are worked first and then joined at the underarm to work the yoke. The zig zag pattern is created using reverse stocking stitch in contrast to stocking stitch and with a twisted stitch detail and is repeated on cuffs and hem as well as through the yoke. The knitting pattern incudes written instructions, stitch explanations and a measurement schematic.
Sizes:
X-Small: UK sizes 4-6, to fit approx 73cm/29″ bust (5 balls of yarn)
Small: UK sizes 8-10, to fit approx 83cm/33″ bust (6 balls of yarn)
Medium: UK sizes 12-14, to fit approx 93cm/37″ bust (6 balls of yarn)
Large: UK sizes 16-18, to fit approx 102cm/40″ bust (7 balls of yarn)
X-Large: UK sizes 20-22, to fit approx 112cm/44″ bust (8 balls of yarn)
Yarn details: Sports/DK weight. Original sample if knitted in Purl Alpaca Designs Fine yarn, 100% alpaca, 116m/50g.
Tension: 18 sts and 24 rows to 10 cm square over Stocking Stitch using 5mm needles.
Needles: 5mm circular needles 80-100cm cable. Smaller circular or DPN's for sleeves.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
