Baron and Leon both love a good party. And when they get an invite by their respective children, they both show up. They didn't expect to see each other.

The two men stared at each other—decades of carefully maintained peace suddenly feeling paper-thin. Around them, other guests shifted uncomfortably.

A spotlight hit the small stage near the back of the ballroom, and Atlas stepped into it. His hand was wrapped around her hand, their fingers interlocked. A ring glittered on her left hand. Atlas raised his champagne glass, and his voice carried across the room, steady.
