Sunday 30th June 2024 Thoughts arising during practice
You will receive a video file (mp4) and an audio file (m4a)
Duration 1 hours and 19 minutes
Silent meditation
A participant reads verse 215 from Sadhanai Saram where it says that the arising of thoughts during meditation is good as they are tendencies that 'sprout out'. Tom gives a teaching on this and also describes different types of samadhi as explained in a text called Drik Drisya Viveka from The Collected Works of Raman Maharshi.
Why do vasanas (tendencies) arise?
What about strong persistent vasanas that keep arising?
