“Good evening, Zelda,” he said, his voice rough like bark. Before she could respond, he barged inside, his boots thudding against the wooden floor. “I’ll be taking this!” With a swift movement, he snatched the spellbook from her hands. “Wait! You don’t know what you’re doing!” Zelda cried, reaching out to stop him, but it was too late. The Wood Cutter waved his axe, muttering words he had no understanding of, and suddenly, the spellbook glowed bright gold.
