GMDH Bitcoin Trend Prediction 2017

Will the price of a Bitcoin rising to $5000 in 2017? Or even to $20000? Will it drop back to $2000 or $1000?

The Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH) is a powerful tool to prediction time-series. Here I used it to produce a forecast of Bitcoin Price Trend of 2017 August. The data to be used is from 2010 to Dec 2016.

GMDH model learned the previous price pattern, and it will project it to the future. This result gives a possible scenario of bitcoin price trend from 2017 Jan to June.

The method was originated in 1968 by Prof. Alexey G. Ivakhnenko in the Institute of Cybernetics in Kiev (then in the Ukrainian SSR).
