Lenten Postil on the Passion

A "postil" is a traditional term for a sermon collection, intended to aid pastors in the writing of their own sermons. This collection offers a sequence of readings from each of the four Gospels, paired with Old Testament lessons, for the season of Lent, covering the whole Passion of Christ. This allows preachers to take their time delving deep into the mystery of our Lord's suffering and death in the entire forty days of Lent, rather than trying to fit it all into Holy Week. Each pair of readings from each of the four Gospels is accompanied by a sermon preached by the author.
