France Neolithic 23andme format
Around 7,000 years ago, farming communities from Anatolia and the Balkans spread into what is now France, bringing with them agriculture, pottery traditions, and a completely new way of life. These Neolithic farmers mixed with, but largely replaced, the remaining Western Hunter-Gatherers living in the region. Ancient DNA shows that early French Neolithic groups were genetically very similar to other European early farmers, carrying Y-haplogroups like G2a and mitochondrial lineages such as N1a, K, and T2.
For this video, I’ve gathered the raw genomes of 13 French neolithic farmers.
