My Learning Support Guide | A Home + School Communication Tool

An IEP can tell us what accommodations a child has. But sometimes we also need to understand what those supports look like in everyday life.

My Learning Support was created to help bridge that gap.

This thoughtful home + school communication resource gives parents, caregivers, teachers, SERTs and EAs an easy way to share the little details that can make a big difference in a child’s school day.

Inside, there is space to communicate:

There is also dedicated space for parent/caregiver, classroom teacher, SERT/resource teacher and EA/support staff notes, making it easier for everyone supporting the child to stay connected.

This resource can be especially helpful at the beginning of a new school year, when working with a new teacher or SERT, during IEP conversations, or whenever a child’s supports are changing.

It was intentionally designed to feel warm, child-centred and easy to use — not clinical or overwhelming.

Because a child is so much more than a diagnosis, assessment or piece of paperwork.
