Now look down.

The hoof is already telling you which one. The wear pattern tells you where the load is going. The flare tells you which direction the body is falling. That winging arc on the way forward tells you exactly what's failing to control the swing phase.

The details are already there.

Every asymmetric step. Every broken-over toe. Every horse that wings out just enough that you almost miss it.
