The Little Story Circle is a gentle 36-week kindergarten curriculum created for approximately ages 3–6.

It is designed for families who want the early years to feel rich, meaningful and unhurried, with plenty of stories, movement, making, nature, conversation and imaginative play.

Each week begins with a traditional tale, rhyme or story and gently opens into real-life learning through handwork, simple cooking, nature study, early maths, oral language, movement, songs, fingerplays and play.

There is no need to rush into formal academics.

Instead, children are invited to listen, notice, remember, retell, count, make, explore, help, wonder and play.

Families are welcome to add favourite picture books or library books if they wish, but every core story needed for the year is included.

The curriculum is flexible and can be adapted to suit your family, season, child and pace. Some weeks lean more heavily into nature, some into baking, some into handwork, and some into storytelling or play.

You do not need to complete every activity.

The aim is not to fill childhood with more.

It is to give children beautiful things to notice, remember and do.

The learning is in the living.
