This pattern file contains full instructions for knitting and finishing off a little knitted bear with a Fair Isle sweater and shorts and has over 60 detailed step-by-step photographs along with full pattern instructions and tips for stuffing, seaming and finishing neatly. The pattern includes extra designs so you can make a Panda, Polar bear or brown bear. I've included instructions for two different sweater options - the first has a Fair Isle pattern but for those who don't like stranded knitting there is a simpler version in stripes.

The bear is knitted flat on two needles and all pieces are seamed afterwards. The sweater is worked in the round from the shoulders downwards but can be worked flat if you prefer.

Please note that this project is not a quick or simple knit. It takes around 14 hours to make and finish this little bear and just under half of that time is spent on the finishing off. There are lots of separate pieces which require seaming and sewing and if you are looking for something fast and easy you would probably be better off finding a different pattern. That said this PDF file will give you all of the information and techniques that you need to knit the little bear pictured.
