The Galactic Civilizations asset packs offer distinctive, visually engaging, and functional icons for sci-fi and futuristic settings. The overwhelming majority of mapping assets available today cater to medieval fantasy or overly simplistic geometric styles, leaving mapmakers who explore space and advanced technological worlds with very limited options. After struggling personally to find good alternatives, I created these symbols to offer genuine variety and visual depth without sacrificing readability.

Each icon was designed to serve distinct purpose on your map, while still maintaining stylistic unity across an entire set. With detailed, carefully balanced linework and thoughtfully chosen color palettes icons scale exceptionally well and remain distinct even at reduced sizes for regional overviews. The set contains two versions of every icon: a fully-colored natural version, ready to place directly, and an indexed custom-color version optimized specifically for Wonderdraft, ensuring you can effortlessly adjust the symbols to match your map’s aesthetics.
