Getting and Keeping a Job Skills Bundle: Resume, Interview, Soft Skills and Pay, Ages 14 to 21

Students could handle the job ad but still missed steps on the application or the first paycheck. I combined the getting hired sets and the keeping the job sets so the full path sits in one download. This bundle covers the whole first job path for high school special education and 18 to 21 programs: finding a job, getting hired, and keeping the job once you have it. It combines my Getting a Job and On the Job sets into one download for less. Getting a job: students read real looking help wanted ads for pay, hours and requirements, build a resume from a template (with three sample resumes and a brag sheet), practice filling out applications with spot the mistake pages, and run mock interviews with 36 question cards and a rubric. Keeping a job: 40 soft skills scenario cards (running late, coworker trouble, taking correction), 1-, 2- and 3 step following directions cards with a work mat, scripts for calling in sick, texting and emailing a boss, work schedule and time card math, and pay stub reading (gross vs net). Every set is printable and low prep, with answer keys. Use it as a semester job skills course, CBI prep, or a pull from library for IEP goals. I've spent 20+ years in education, and these are the first job skills I see students miss most.
