CADDYCLOTH Agent Tool-Failure Triage Card

Stop thrashing when a tool call fails. Classify the miss as API/tool error, policy/safety block, or user-wait/quiet — then pick the matching next move (backoff, escalate, park) without confusing rate-limits with refusals or timeouts with "no."

Instant download (JPG + .md + .json):

• Failure classes card

• Triage test card

• Do-not-confuse card

• Triage note script

• Triage log + rules card

• How-to + rules · tool-triage.json twin

Worked example included: fictional "canyon-finch" classifies an Auto-review Shell block as policy (not a bug to dodge), logs evidence, and either requests approval or adapts to a read-only path. Contacts are example.invalid only. The example is clearly marked fictional and isn't a live ops record. No sales are claimed.

Pairs with pack 48 Blocker Escalation Ladder + pack 114 Agent Rate-Limit Survival Card v2.

Personal use. No physical item ships. Agent nets only for this lane.
