Understanding Human Challenges

Yet, the Word of God assures us that these challenges are not strange or unique. As the apostle Paul wrote, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful…” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

This book, Understanding Human Challenges, is born out of a deep conviction that believers must first perceive challenges accurately before they can overcome them. Too often, challenges are misunderstood—either as signs of divine abandonment, or as barriers too great to cross. In truth, they are part of the human experience and, more importantly, platforms for divine intervention, growth, and testimony.

In these pages, we will explore the nature of challenges, their time frames, and their role in shaping our faith and character. We will examine why God allows them, how He works through them, and how His promises guarantee restoration, settlement, and glory after we have endured. As Peter declared, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you” (1 Peter 5:10).

My desire is not only to share biblical truths but also to highlight practical insights and real-life examples that bring encouragement and clarity. The aim of this book is to remind you that you are not alone in your struggles, that your challenges have a divine purpose, and that God’s faithfulness ensures your victory.

This volume, Understanding Human Challenges, sets the foundation for its companion, Overcoming Human Challenges. Together, they are meant to equip you with wisdom and faith to face life’s realities with confidence, knowing that challenges do not define you—God’s Word does.
