The Philosophy of UFOs

188 pages, 45 full-color images, letter page size

If UFOs are not just swamp gas or secret aircraft, what are we really seeing – and what does that say about reality itself?

Written for UFO enthusiasts, science fans, and curious skeptics alike, The Philosophy of UFOs explains the physics and psychology from the ground up – no technical background required.

Born in New York but raised in Mexico and Belgium, Steve Douty grew up between worlds. His childhood love of astronomy and physics left no room for UFOs – until a silent metallic sphere drifted low over his backyard in Belgium and none of his explanations fit.

The Philosophy of UFOs is not a catalog of strange sightings, nor an exercise in explaining them away. It is an inquiry into what UFOs might be, why they appear as they do, and what either their existence – or our experience of them – reveals about human beings and the nature of reality.

Along the way, you’ll get a clear, plain-language tour of the double-slit experiment, quantum tunneling, the holographic universe, and the science of perception – each tied back to the question of what’s really in our skies.

It doesn’t tell you what to believe. It asks a more unnerving question:

When you stare at a light in the sky, how do you know what’s “real”?
