Common knapweed, also known as black knapweed, is a thistle-like flower that blooms in grasslands throughout the United Kingdom from June to September. The buds and blooms of these toe-up socks are reminiscent of this hearty wildflower … so you can have a bit of British summer meadows peeking from your shoes or boots all year long!

The Knapweed Socks are knit toe up and inside out until midway up the leg, minimizing the need to purl! They feature a German short row heel. Textured blooms burst along the cuff of the sock, formed using a mix of bobble and dip stitches. The pattern includes detailed written instructions and tips to work these textured stitches.
