Mary's Garden Online Retreats

Can't come in person? No Problem!

Come and See!

Welcome to Mary's Garden, a sanctuary of respite and healing for body, mind, and soul. In Mary's Garden, we cultivate the integration of the whole human person. Informed by IFS (Internal Family Systems therapy, by Richard Schwartz) and the Theology of The Body (by St. John Paul II), we recognize the need to work on health and well-being from a holistic whole knowing we are all fragmented body-persons touched by the consequence of sin and the fall.

What can you expect at a Mary's Garden Online Retreat?

During a retreat, we focus on the need for an integrative approach to the human person. To this end, we focus on the fundamentals of the lived experience. We set the scene for connection, internally and externally, and welcome you into a rhythm of life that is grounded in nature with the goal of our heavenly home.

Work, Play, and Pray

The rhythms of a healthy and flourishing life revolve around these essential elements: meaningful work, rejuvenating leisure, and worship. In Mary's Garden, you will focus on both exterior and interior work, leisure, and prayer.

Work

During an online retreat, you can expect a personally tailored therapeutic set of interior works suitable to your preferences and stage of healing, which currently include Aroma Freedom Coaching and Herbal consultation. An emphasis is placed on the somatic (bodily) connection for expression of your internal world. Enjoy the possibility of taking the next steps in internal healing, flourishing, and wellness. While a retreat cannot replace regular therapy, it can facilitate greater interior healing and growth.

Play

Enjoy leisure in the online community retreat space. You can expect different choices to uplift your spirit in play to foster the childlike joy that rejuvenates mind, body, and soul.

Pray

Worship is a central human need, though it is one sorely neglected in this modern era. Sanctify your time throughout your online retreat through communal prayer, meditating in Mary's Garden with the mysteries of the rosary or the stations of the cross, or participating in any liturgical seasonal events.

Natural Supernatural

At Mary's Garden, we foster an appreciation for beauty and hope to facilitate an encounter with the divine through the landscape of His gift of creation. While the focus on time in nature during in-person retreats is a deliberate choice to become grounded in the beauty of the natural world, we can trust the work of the Holy Spirit to overcome the limits of technological constraints. God has given us a great gift and through work, prayer, and play in nature we can come to taste the generosity with which He has created this world-- even if it is through our computers.

Communion

Finally, and most importantly, experience fraternal communion during your online retreat in Mary's Garden. We hope to foster a spirit of communion with your brothers and sisters in Christ, all are welcome! Enter into communion with your inner world, connect with the triune God, the saints in heaven, and with new friends you will meet along the way. We hope to offer an inviting space where all are welcome.
