MP4 MKV Metadata Fixer v1.0
This application automatically generates video metadata from filenames.
It processes:
• MP4 files
• MKV files
and writes metadata directly into each file.

FILENAME FORMAT
The tool reads metadata from filenames such as:
High Ground (2025).mp4
The Matrix (1999).mkv
Playdate (2025).mp4

GENERATED METADATA
From each filename, the tool creates:
✔ Title
✔ Tags (MKV only)
✔ Comments
Example:
High Ground (2025).mp4
→ Title: High Ground (2025)
→ Tags: 2025, High Ground (MKV only)
→ Comments: Custom user comment

HOW TO USE
Click "Select Folder"
Choose a folder with video files
(Optional) Enable "Include Subfolders"
Click "Scan Files"
Review detected files
Click "Apply Metadata"

BACKUP SYSTEM
If enabled:
• Temporary backups are created
• Stored in system temp folder
• Automatically deleted after successful processing
If errors occur:
• Backups are kept for safety

PROGRESS DISPLAY
The tool shows real-time updates:
• Current file being processed
• Progress percentage
• Total file count
• Status updates

SUPPORTED FILE TYPES
• .mp4
• .mkv

REMOVE FILES FROM THE LIST
Need to skip a file?
Simply click a file in the scanned results list.
The application will ask for confirmation before removing it from the processing queue.
Removed files will not receive metadata updates, allowing you to quickly exclude unwanted files before processing.

NOTES
• MP4 metadata support is limited compared to MKV
• Tags may not appear in all MP4 players
• MKV supports full metadata structure
