This is a teenier version of the quintessential children’s vest pattern, Milo. This version is graded for 4ply/fingering weight yarn, making it more appropriate for warmer months and tinier babies - including premmies. It maintains the same style and look as the original Milo: a simple, seamless vest knit in the round from the top down.

The size range aims to cover the first year of life with six different cable options to help you create a little milo bambino of your own.

Construction:

Milo Bambino is knit seamlessly in the round from the top down. Increases are used to shape the mitred bodice, with a simple cable gracing the front of the vest.

An option for a buttoned shoulder strap to cater for IV lines and tubing is included for the premmie and newborn sizes.

Pattern includes three premmie sizes from approximately 34 weeks gestation.

Cables have both written instructions and chart included.

Sizing:

For best fit choose size based on actual chest measurement rather than age.

To fit actual chest measurement of:

12/30.5 (13/33, 14/35.5, 15/38) [16/40.5, 17/43, 18/45.5, 19/48] inches/cms.

Finished chest measurement:

12½/31.5 (13½/34.5, 14½/37, 15½/39.5, 16½/42) [17½/44.5, 18½/47, 19½/49.5] inches/cms.

This vest is designed to be slim fitting in style with little to no ease.
