About Me
Tresa Chambers, CEO of Tenth Muse Enterprises, is a marketing and publishing strategist who helps entrepreneurs and artists find and connect with their markets through seminars, webinars, conferences, retreats and live events. You can find her podcast, BO$: Business of Style, on iTunes. She has co-hosted the weekly radio program Fashion Friday: The Business of Style on Bloomberg Radio (AM 880 The Biz) based in Miami, has been a featured guest on Blog Talk Radio’s “Positively Affirmative”, and seeks opportunities to speak on and moderate panels, and to host business events. She received her M.S. in Publishing from Pace University in New York, completed a Master Certificate in Integrated Communications: Advertising & PR at Florida International University in Miami and her B.A. in French at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. A former business and political journalist at Time Magazine, Tresa has used her expertise as a writer, editor, marketer and project manager to launch programs and products in corporate, academic and community settings from New York City to South Florida to Silicon Valley and the world for more than 25 years, driven by the desire to have measurable, positive, impactful outcomes. She has launched, managed and raised funds to support programs advancing literacy and math, including the Miami-based Family Literacy Arts Program (FLAP) and the nationally renowned Algebra Project in partnership with Florida International University’s Center for Urban Education and Innovation. Tresa’s interest in learning about wine inspired her to relaunch and preside over the New York City Chapter of the national organization Women for WineSense, planning and executing monthly events across New York, growing attendance at events and contributing as a voting member of the national Board. She always seeks opportunities to challenge herself in new areas, and has completed four 5K races and one 10K race, and she completed the National M.S. Society Climb to the Top of Rockefeller Center twice to personally support a dear friend. Tresa is writing a memoir and was invited to attend the Hurston/Wright Foundation’s Black Writers’ Week in July 2015 in Washington, D.C., where she was mentored and supported by award-winning authors Wil Haygood, Marita Golden and Breena Clarke.
