HyperCross is a motocross racing game that runs in your browser. It has eighteen circuits, six very different bikes, and a track surface that changes under your wheels. Every lap is a fight between throttle, lean angle and traction.
It's one file. Open it in your browser and ride, offline. There are no ads, no tracking, no account and no sign-in.
Eighteen circuits, from clay to another planet
The championship starts in the Emerald Hollow training bowl and ends in Xeno City, an alien megacity where gravity is half of ours. Flights run long and landings float. On the way you'll ride:
- Hardpack, red clay, gravel quarries and desert dunes
- A cinder speedway oval and the rain-soaked ruts of Mudbath Valley
- Pine-forest river fords and the snow and ice of an alpine slalom
- Marble terraces, an underground mine and boulder-strewn rock gardens
- Storm ridges and volcanic ash fields
- A floodlit supercross stadium with whoops, triples and tight berms
Mud drags you down. Sand tugs the rear. Ice gives almost no grip. Every circuit teaches a different lesson, and short on-track tips tell you where to brake, slide, jump or pin it.
Six bikes, six personalities
- Wasp 125: the lightest and sharpest. It screams past 14,000 rpm and is hard to hold on the throttle.
- Falcon 250F: a steady, forgiving four-stroke and the bike to learn on.
- Stallion 450F: heavy, torquey and the most forgiving of the six.
- Mamba 250: a two-stroke whose power comes on late and hard. It's easy to overcook.
- Rhino 500: the brute. It has the biggest wheelies in the game, and wide open in 1st and 2nd it will loop.
- Jolt Ripper: electric, with two in-wheel motors. It has the hardest launch and the shortest stops, but it's the least manoeuvrable.
Three of the bikes unlock as you progress through the championship. Liveries, both classic and futuristic, change only the looks. The physics are identical.
Ride it your way
- Rider aids from Rookie to Pro: tune traction control, wheelie control, slide control, ABS and engine braking, or pick a preset. Switch every aid off and your times carry the Pro badge.
- Medals and ghosts: chase Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, and race a ghost of your best run.
- Duel Mode: line up wheel to wheel against a rival on the Reaper 450W, at Amateur, Pilot or Racer skill. Bang into it too hard and you're down.
- Replays and Photo Mode: watch any race from TV, heli, chase, onboard or tail cameras, then frame a shot and save it as a PNG.
- Test area: a no-pressure practice circuit for finding your settings.
