Jacques Loussier: Air on G String (Play Bach aux Champs-Élysées, 1965)
Jacques Loussier became famous in the 1960s thanks to a series of records on which he played Bach in a jazz version—in more or less sophisticated arrangements. Here, he plays his version of the famous Air on the G String, generally staying fairly close to the original piece's form.
He plays quite freely within the tempo. I tried to write down his rhythms, but it shouldn't be played too mechanically!
PDF, piano + bass + separate parts.
