BTR-82A

The BTR-82A is a Russian 8x8 armored amphibious vehicle. It is intended for the transport of mechanized units, as well as the destruction of enemy manpower and light armored vehicles.

It represents the modernization of the Soviet BTR-80 vehicles, which began in 2009, when the first prototypes were created. A year later, the first series of BTR-82A vehicles was produced, which was used for military trials. In 2013, after the successful completion of military trials, the BTR-82A was introduced into the Russian Armed Forces.
