Inspired by the the Point, the spot where two of Pittsburgh’s rivers converge to form the third, these socks feature cables and a textured pattern to represent the movement of the water and the ripples that form in the fountain that marks where the three come together.

To knit this pattern, you need to know how to:
- work flat and in the round,
- work a cable and texture pattern from a chart or written directions,
- do basic decreases (k2tog, ssk, p2tog, and ssp),
- do directional purlwise increases, and
- use Kitchener stitch to graft live stitches.

These socks are worked in the round from the cuff down and have a heel flap and gusset and wide toe. The stitch patterns on the leg and instep are both written and charted.
