Shinkai shawl is a triangle shaped shawl with various stitches. 

4 stitches are increased every other row and you can adjust the size as you like with the number of repeats. 

There are 7 sections in this shawl and you can adjust the size at the stripe or garter sections easily. This is a great project using your leftovers. Enjoy mixing your leftovers and make your beautiful shawl!

You can use any weight, materials. Please adjust the yardage according to the yarn used. I recommend weighing each yarn and checking the approximate yardage to use them in the pattern effectively.

C1: Black 

2 skeins = 320.0 meters (350.0 yards), 100 grams 

C2: Turquoise 

0.76 skeins = 121.6 meters (133.0 yards), 38 grams 

C3: Light Ice Blue 

0.22 skeins = 35.2 meters (38.5 yards), 11 grams 

C4: Off White 

0.12 skeins = 19.2 meters (21.0 yards), 6 grams 

C5: Navy Blue 

1.2 skeins = 192.0 meters (210.0 yards), 60 grams

Needle size: 3.00 mm ( US 21⁄2 ) 32” circular needles, or size to obtain gauge 

Gauge

18 sts 20 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter st ( blocked ) 

20 sts 20 rows = 10 cm / 4” in mesh lace st ( blocked ) 

20 sts 24 rows = 10 cm / 4” in moss st ( blocked ) 

18 sts 24 rows = 10 cm / 4” in edge lace st ( blocked )

Gauge is not crucial, but it will affect finished size and yardage requirements.
