Opposites Attract

Jaylen had always stayed out of the spotlight. Even at Eastbridge College, where creativity flowed in the air like oxygen, he kept his sketches tucked deep inside a leather notebook.

He wasn’t the loud type. He watched.

Emily, on the other hand, was the spotlight. She lit up the coffee shop every Friday at open mic night, reading her latest poem or ranting about some topic she was passionate about — and Jaylen never missed a night.

The two finally collided when Emily spilled her coffee on one of Jaylen’s sketches in the student lounge. She gasped, apologized a thousand times, and offered to buy him a new sketchbook.

He just smirked and said, “Coffee stains add character.”
