Reading PICK YOUR NOSE is one thing. Now it's time to put it to work.

PICK YOUR NOSE - THE WORKBOOK

(Instant Download)

This is a 37-page practical companion designed to help you take the ideas behind Pick Your Nose (PYN) and apply them to your own act, routines and shows.

This isn't another book to sit and read.

It's a place to make decisions, write things down, try new ideas and work out what actually fits you.

Develop your act. Build your show. Make it your own.

Inside you'll work on:

• Finding your performer DNA. Identifying the material, choices and ideas that make your act feel like yours.

• Developing individual routines. Audit material that isn't quite working, rewrite it and think properly about participation, pacing and endings.

• Making the helper the hero. Plan how you invite people up, involve them in the magic and make sure they leave feeling good.

• Audience and room management. Think through your performance space, prepare bookers properly and plan how you'll respond when things don't go quite as expected.

• Building your show. Create working running orders and plan complete 45-minute and 60-minute shows.

• Planning a complete two-hour party. Structure the event, games, magic, breaks, transitions and finish.

• Music, setup and practical preparation. Give your music a purpose, plan for equipment failure and create your own packing, arrival and reset checklists.

• Reviewing what actually happened. Record performances, test changes over several shows and decide what genuinely makes your material better.

• Looking at your business from the outside. Review your website and online pages through the eyes of a potential booker.

Use it your way.

You don't have to work through every page in order.

You can - Jump straight to a routine you want to improve, build a new show from scratch, rethink an existing party package or use the review pages after your next performance.

The PDF includes fillable fields so you can type directly into it using a compatible PDF app. You can also write on it with an iPad and stylus, print individual pages as you need them, or simply use the exercises alongside a notebook.

You do not need to own PICK YOUR NOSE to use the workbook.

It works as a standalone resource, but if you do own PYN, references throughout the workbook point you towards the relevant chapters and ideas for further reading.
