Printed Knitting Pattern 016 - Seasonal Baby Romper

Printed instructions to knit a reborn doll or baby romper set in DK yarn. It also features the use of knitting in lace. The set comprises a short sleeve, legless romper, beanie hat and bootees. It can be knitted in Christmas colours, or pastel colours for summertime, so this makes it a truly seasonal romper knitting pattern. 

There are 5 sizes to choose from. They start from a 5lb premature baby and go through to a 3-month size. (15-22 inch reborn doll). All sizes use double knitting yarn. You just change the size of your needles to achieve the size you want.

To make this set you will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 5lb Prem) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g in contrast colour B, 50g in colour C and 50g in colour D.  In addition, you will need 4m knitting in lace, 1m satin ribbon, embellishments of your choice and 9 buttons. You will also need 4 x stitch holders and 2 x pr 2.75mm needles to make a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 6lb Prem) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g in contrast colour B, 50g in colour C and 50g in colour D. In addition, you will need 4m knitting in lace, 1m satin ribbon, embellishments of your choice and 9 buttons. You will also need 4 x stitch holders and 2 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” pr 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 8lb Newborn) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g in contrast colour B, 50g in colour C and50g in colour D. In addition, you will need 4m knitting in lace, 1m satin ribbon, embellishments of your choice and 9 buttons. You will also need 4 x stitch holders and 2 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 10lb Newborn) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g in contrast colour B, 50g in colour C and 50g in colour D. In addition, you will need 4m knitting in lace, 1m satin ribbon, embellishments of your choice and 9 buttons. You will also need 4 x stitch holders and 2 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g in contrast colour B, 50g in colour C and 50g in colour D. In addition, you will also need 4m knitting in lace, 1m satin ribbon, embellishments of your choice and 9 buttons. You will also need 4 x stitch holders and 2 x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 6 printed pages with clear and easy to follow instructions. All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error free.
