Geode / Floral Resin Coasters — Resin Build Plan No. 13, PDF Plan with Layout Diagram, Pour List & Costs
Two proven looks in one mold set: geode coasters that layer colour rings, glitter, and crushed glass around a crystal centre and finish with a gold edge until they read as agate — and a floral version that casts real pressed flowers in clear resin. This 5-page PDF plan (Build Plan No. 13 in the Fox Feather Farms winter series) makes a set of four coasters, 4.5–5 in diameter and 3/8 in thick — the plan is plain about not pouring thinner, or they warp — at about 400 ml of epoxy per set, one pour for the whole set. Inside: a layout diagram showing the ring order from the outside in, a cut/pour list, a full materials list with per-line costs in Canadian dollars (about $26 typical per set), the tools required, finishes and cure times, and a 6-step build summary. Builder's notes name the colourways that work (teal/gold, amethyst, emerald/gold, blush/gold) and the pressed flowers to name on the care card; the heat caution is spelled out — standard art resin can mark under very hot mugs, and the plan says so on the care card. About 1.5–2 hours of active work plus a 72-hour full cure. Personal use only — print and use as often as you like for yourself or as gifts; please don't redistribute the files or resell them.
What you need: A set of four silicone geode coaster molds (irregular agate edge), 1:1 casting epoxy, mica/alcohol ink/glitter, crushed glass, gold leaf and edge paint, pressed flowers for the floral version, and cork or felt backs. A printer if you want the plan on paper.
