Kitson Owlshade: Original 8-Bit Light-and-Shadow Puzzle Game (Browser, Offline)

Light and shadow puzzles: light the flowers, let the owls sleep.

Lumen the hedgehog carries a lantern through the night wood. Light every moon-flower but keep every sleeping owl in the shade: they hoot if the light touches them. Trees and stones cast shadows; push the stones to make new shade. In the last woods, blue glass lets through a cool light that lets owls sleep on but doesn't open flowers. Solve each wood within par for 3 stars. 20 woods; every one is checked by a solver.

What you get: the full game as one small file. Double-click it and it opens in your web browser. Plays offline on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook; nothing to install. A computer is easiest (opening downloaded files on phones varies by device). No ads, no accounts, no tracking. Your best scores are saved in your browser.

Controls: Arrows/WASD: move (walk into a stone to push it), Z or U: undo, R: restart. Left/Right on the title: choose a wood, M: sound on/off. Phone or tablet: swipe to move, or use the arrow, UNDO and RESTART buttons. MENU button (top right): resume, restart, sound on/off, all levels.
