In this 71-minute tutorial, I take you through the complete mounting process step by step, using the artificial body made in Part 2.
I show how I wire both the legs and the wings, and how those wires are used during the mounting and positioning of the bird.
I also show how to position the eyes correctly in the head, including the measurements I use to get the placement right.
Wing placement gets some extra attention, including the different techniques that work together to get the wings sitting correctly against the body.

This is Part 3 of my Bird Taxidermy Tutorial series.
Parts 1 and 2 are available separately.
Wing placement is one of the things I get asked about most, so in this tutorial I cover the full process rather than just the final positioning.
I start with wiring the wings and take you through the different techniques that work together to help position the wings correctly against the body.
I’ve given this part some extra attention because so many of you specifically asked for it.
