FAQ

• Why do some calendars show Lunar New Year on Feb 6? China's calendar uses Beijing time; in Korea the new moon falls just after midnight (00:56 KST on 7 February), so Seollal is Feb 7, 2027.

ABOUT THE DATES

Lunar dates, the 24 solar terms and public holidays (incl. substitute holidays) follow KASI's 2027 calendar data (Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, 2027 달력자료), consistent with the 2027 월력요항 announced by the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA, 우주항공청) on 29 June 2026, as of 25 October 2026. The government may add temporary holidays later; those are not shown.

This calendar was made with AI tools: the page layout, the word lists, the English meanings, the romanization and the culture lines were drafted with AI. The files were then checked by code: every date of 2027 (weekday, lunar date, solar term, holiday) against KASI's published 2027 data, KASI's day-by-day lunar conversion and an independent astronomical calculation; romanization against an independent Revised Romanization check; and the printable PDFs for page count, embedded fonts, Hangul glyph coverage and that nothing on any page is cut off or overlapping and no Korean word is split across lines. If you spot an error, message me and I’ll send a corrected file.
