When your child has something big inside and no words for it

The meltdown over nothing. The shrug when you ask what's wrong. The shutdown at bedtime, when you can tell something happened today and you have no idea how to ask about it.

You want to help. You just don't know what to say first.

Soul Seeds is a deck of 40 conversation cards that gives you somewhere to start. Not a worksheet. Not a lecture. One card, one question, and the willingness to sit in the quiet that comes after.

What makes this different

Most feelings cards hand you a prompt and leave you there.

Soul Seeds includes four Where Do I Start? finder cards that work the way a parent actually thinks. You don't look up a topic — you find your situation:

  • Can't name the feeling → 01 · 02 · 03
  • Everything feels like too much → 10 · 13 · 14
  • A mistake feels like failure → 18 · 19 · 24
  • Conflict, hurt, or rupture → 26 · 31 · 32
  • Discouraged or losing hope → 37 · 39

Every one of the 40 cards is reachable this way. You don't have to know the deck. You just have to know what today looks like.

How a card works

  • The Seed — the idea, in words a child can hold.
  • Fellow Plants a Question — hands the thinking to your child.
  • Grow It — something small and real to do together.
  • Root It — one line your child carries out of the conversation.

Read it. Ask it. Then stay — and leave the quiet longer than feels comfortable. That pause is where the work happens.

The five Seedbeds

  • Know Your Roots — cards 01–08
  • Weather the Storm — cards 09–16
  • Keep Growing — cards 17–24
  • Reach Your Branches — cards 25–32
  • Find Your Light — cards 33–40

What you get

  • 40 conversation cards across the five Seedbeds
  • 5 Seed Packet divider cards, one for each Seedbed
  • 9 guide cards — Quick Start, a note for the grown-up, safety guidance, four Where Do I Start? finders, and two Feeling Words cards

The two Feeling Words cards give your child vocabulary to reach for: quiet feelings on one, louder feelings on the other. Sometimes that list is the whole thing a child needed.

54 cards in all. One PDF file, 58 pages, US Letter size, plus contents and license pages.

Printing

  • Print at 100% / Actual Size on cardstock. Don't use "Fit to page."
  • US Letter, two cards per page, with crop marks to cut along.
  • Backs are included. If your printer does both sides on its own, choose flip on long edge.
  • No duplex printer? Print pages 5–57, odd pages only — those are the fronts. Put that stack back in the tray and print pages 6–58, even pages only. Run one sheet first to learn which way up your printer takes the paper.
  • Backs optional. Print pages 5–57, odd only, and stop. Nothing is lost.
  • Trim along the crop marks to a true 4 × 6 inches.

Full instructions are included in the download.
