This unit for grades 4 - 6teaches students how to recognize and construct polyhedrons.  It contains detailed lesson plans for individual, group and whole class activities, with an emphasis on the use of manipulative material.  Also included are suggestions for teaching and evaluating the unit and reproducible sheets of nets for various polyhedrons.
