Aziza Mustafa Zadeh: Boomerang (Dance of Fire, 1995)

I recently discovered Aziza Mustafa Zadeh and was blown away by her music, her technique, her rhythmic strengh—and by some of the ornamentation you hear in Tigran Hamasyan's work. Her album Dance of Fire is truly fantastic, and the first track, Boomerang, particularly stands out for me.

It's hard to tell how much is composed, but I wouldn't be surprised to know that there is no improvisation here. For most of the piece, Aziza Mustafa Zadeh's piano is prominent, but I added some bass here and there so you can play it solo.
